Reading
The First Epistle to the Corinthians 9:24-25
Do you not know that in a race, all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run so that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a crown that will perish. We do it for a reward that is imperishable.

Intercessory Prayers of Petition
Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil;
for the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are Yours without end.
Amen
Collect
Grant us, Almighty God, † that in our Lenten journey we may grow in our understanding of Christ. * Open ourselves to His mysteries, hope, and love. Fill us with His light as we evermore faithfully follow Him who lives and reigns in unity with You and the Holy Spirit. God, now and forever. Amen.
Blessing
May the Lord bless us,
keep us from all evil,
and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen
