Reading
The Second Epistle of Peter 1:19-21
So we have the prophetic word made more sure. A word which you do well to pay attention to, like a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. But above all, know this. No prophecy of Scripture came to be out of the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy was never made by an act of human will, but people spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Intercessory Prayers of Petition
Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your Name.
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil;
for the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are Yours without end.
Amen
Collect
God, you have prepared good things just beyond sight for those who love You. Pour into our hearts a fervor to live within Your love. † May we love You in all, and above all things. * Surpassing every known desire, may we obtain Your promises through our Lord Jesus Christ. Your Son, who lives and reigns in unity with You and the Holy Spirit. God, now and forever. Amen.
Blessing
May the Lord bless us,
keep us from all evil,
and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen
