Examination of Self

After a short time examining your heart, spirit, mind, and soul - pray to the Lord.

I confess to Almighty God, and to all whose hope is in Christ. I have sinned in thought, word, and deed. I have sinned in what I have done and left undone. I have sinned, and continue to sin again and again. I have struggled to rest in God's presence. Help me, Father, to deeply embrace your tender love. Help me, Jesus, to take up my cross and follow Jesus. Help me, Holy Spirit, to sense and let you guide me. This is why I plead that you pray to the Lord, our God, for me. Pray for me, along with all the saints.

Our Father who is in heaven, have mercy on us. Continue to forgive us our sins, and lead us on the narrow path, as we follow Your Son, into eternal life.

Amen.

First Epistle to the Church in Thessaloniki 5:23-24

May the God of peace Himself completely sanctify you. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He will also see it through to the end.
