The Lord is coming! * Meet him saying, "Great is Your power, and Your kingdom will have no end. Mighty God, Eternal King, Prince of Peace, Hallelujah, hallelujah!"

Blessed is the one who fears the LORD, *

who greatly delights in His commandments.

Their descendants will be mighty on the earth, *

the generation of the upright will be blessed.

In their houses are abundant riches, *

and their righteousness endures forever.

In the darkness a light shines for the upright, *

He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.

A good person is gracious and lends, †

they conduct their affairs justly, *

and they will never be shaken.

The righteous will be remembered forever, *

they will not fear evil news.

Their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the LORD, †

O Adonai, * leader of the House of Israel,
who appeared to Moses in the fire of the burning bush,

Come, redeem us with your outstretched arm.

My soul ✛ magnifies the greatness of the Lord; *

my spirit bursts, rejoicing in God my Savior.

For He knew the humility of His servant. *

From today all generations will call me blessed.

The Almighty has done great things for me, *

and holy is His name.

He has mercy for those who fear Him, *

from generation to generation.

He has shown the strength of His arm, *

and scattered the proud for the thoughts of their hearts.

He has torn the mighty from their thrones, *

Intercessory Prayers of Petition

Beloved children of God, let us pray to Christ the Redeemer, who came to save all people. Let us say with confidence:

Come, Lord Jesus!

Lord Christ, You who took on our own flesh and, through some mystery, You made known to the world the glory of Your divinity,

– by Your advent, give us life.

Come, Lord Jesus!

You who took upon Yourself our weaknesses,

– grant us Your mercy.

Come, Lord Jesus!

You who came in humility being born a child in a manger, and redeemed the world from sin,

– when You come again redeem us of our faults, and restore all that is broken.

We pray that Your grace, Lord, be poured into our hearts. † Through the Angel's message, you made known to us the incarnation of your beloved Son. * Guide us through his passion, and his cross, to share in the glory of the resurrection. Through Jesus Christ.
