Psalm 112

Blessed is the one who greatly delights * in His commandments.

Blessed is the one who fears the LORD, *

who greatly delights in His commandments.

Their descendants will be mighty on the earth, *

the generation of the upright will be blessed.

In their houses are abundant riches, *

In the darkness a light shines for the upright, *

He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous.

A good person is gracious and lends, †

they conduct their affairs justly, *

and they will never be shaken.

My soul ✛ magnifies the greatness of the Lord; *

my spirit bursts, rejoicing in God my Savior.

For He knew the humility of His servant. *

The Almighty has done great things for me, *

and holy is His name.

He has mercy for those who fear Him, *

from generation to generation.

He has shown the strength of His arm, *

Intercessory Prayers of Petition

Let us rejoice in the Lord, from whom all good things flow. Pray to Him, together with sincerity:

Lord, hear our prayer.

Lord and Father of all, You have sent Your Son into the world, that Your name might be glorified everywhere,

– strengthen the testimony of Your Church among the nations.

May the Apostles preaching easily instruct us,

– to conform our lives to the truth of our faith.

Let us pray.

Grant us what we ask, Lord. † Mercifully guide all of creation with Your peaceful hand. * Extend that peace, with Your Presence, into Your Church so we may rejoice in quiet devotion through our Lord Jesus Christ. Your Son, who lives and reigns in unity with You and the Holy Spirit. God, now and forever. Amen.
